  • TED PASSON, DIRECTOR +

    Ted Passon (he/him) is an award-winning director who created and directed the critically acclaimed docuseries PHILLY D.A., along with co-director Yoni Brook and producer Nicole Salazar. The series won a PEABODY AWARD, the GOTHAM AWARD for “Best Breakthrough Nonfiction Series”, a DUPONT-COLUMBIA AWARD and the SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL PRODUCING AWARD for nonfiction film. It premiered at Sundance and had its international premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, becoming the first docuseries to screen there. It was named “One of the best TV shows of the year” by TIME, The NY Times, Variety, The LA Times, The Hollywood Reporter, The Washington Post, Vulture, Vogue, Slate, Indiewire, and The New Yorker. It was also nominated for “Best Nonfiction Series” by The Independent Spirit Awards, Cinema Eye Honors, and the IDA Awards. Ted also directed multiple episodes of the Netflix series WORN STORIES, which has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Ted is a 2018 Sundance Catalyst Fellow and a 2016 Sundance Lab Creative Summit Fellow. He has also written and directed over 8 children’s television shows for Disney and Comcast. He is a co-founder of All Ages Productions.

  • KYLA HARRIS, PRODUCER + RECREATION SCRIPT CO- WRITER

    Kyla Harris (any pronoun) is a UK based performer, writer and producer who applies an intersectional lens to their scripted and documentary work. She is chair of We Crip Film for the BFI, a BAFTA member and an advising member of FWD-DOC. Kyla has advised a number of organisations including the BFI, Doc Society, Hot Docs and Sundance. Her work has been featured in British Vogue, The Guardian, Stylist and Deadline. Their short film It’s Personal, that they co-directed and wrote, was commissioned by the Film Video Umbrella and is FVU’s most viewed film to date. She has co-written, co-created and is starring in the comedy drama television series We Might Regret This for BBC TWO, due to air August 2024. 

  • INNBO SHIM, PRODUCER

    Innbo Shim (she/her) is an award-winning film and television producer whose work encompasses themes of social justice and human complexity. She has produced documentary and narrative features with festival premieres at Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto, Venice, Busan IFF, Rotterdam, Zurich, and Camerimage. Additionally, she has produced film projects for Netflix, CNN Films, Discovery, A&E Films, National Geographic, and PBS. Select credits include AMEND: The Fight for America, a 6-part series for Netflix; When Lambs Become Lions (Oscilloscope Films); We Will Rise: Michelle Obama’s Mission to Educate Girls Around the World (CNN Films); and The Notorious Mr. Bout (Sundance World Premiere). Innbo has worked with directors who work across narrative and documentary forms. Notable projects include Remote Control, dir. by Byamba Sakhya (Mongolia); Rachel Getting Married and Jimmy Carter Man From Plains, dir. by Jonathan Demme.

  • EMILY SPIVACK, PRODUCER

    Emily Spivack (she/her) is an artist, writer, and producer who turned her New York Times bestselling book, Worn Stories and the follow-up Worn in New York into a Netflix show, which she executive produced with Jenji Kohan (Orange is the New Black) and Morgan Neville (Won’t You Be My Neighbor). In her column for T: The New York Times Style Magazine, The Story of a Thing, Spivack interviewed cultural figures about objects in their homes. As artist-in-residence at MoMA from 2017-2018, Emily invited visitors to contribute to An archive of everything worn to MoMA from November 1, 2017, to January 28, 2018, a permanent part of MoMA’s Archives. She was the host of Dress Codes, a Gimlet/Spotify podcast. Emily’s 2017 off-site installation for the Honolulu Museum of Art, Medium White Tee, was a fulfillment of President Barack Obama’s stated fantasy to run a T-shirt shack that sold only medium-sized white tees. She and her work have been featured in The New York Times, New York magazine,The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, Vogue, and Art in America.
